Visa

A passport that is valid for at least six months beyond the end date of the program, with at least two blank pages is required.

There are a few visa options for international program participants:

EU students can enter with no restrictions.
All other nationals can enter with an “Intern in Britain visa” (UK Border Agency Tier 5) issued by BUNAC. To enter on this visa you must:
 
  • 1) be aged 18 or over
  • 2) hold a current valid passport from outside the EEA
  • 3) hold an acceptable internship offer in the UK for up to six months
  • 4) have sufficient support funds
  • 5) must have completed at least one year of your degree if you’re undertaking an internship in the hospitality field
  • 6) be currently a full-time degree level student, or a recent graduate (beginning your internship within twelve months of completing your studies)
  • 7) have English Language skills of a high level - an IELTS score of above 6.0

Nationals of Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Monaco and overseas British territories can enter on a "Youth Mobility Visa" (UK Border Agency Tier 5). To enter on this visa you must:
 
  • 1) Be over 18 and under 31 years of age
  • 2) Have £1,890 in available funds at the time of applying. You must be able to demonstrate the funds above for the 3 previous months before the date of your visa application as the minimum requirement.
  • 3) The cost of the Youth Mobility visa is 208 GBP.

Please note: this can be a lengthy process; all admitted applicants are strongly encouraged to confirm their place in the program as soon as possible and begin the visa process immediately.

Insurance

Elite Intern requires that all interns to have international health insurance that is vetted by Elite intern so they are adequately covered while overseas.
